Class C
Tall ships are divided into several categories according to their size:
Class A
All square-rigged vessels over 24 metres in hull length, and all other vessels over 40 metres in hull length, regardless of rig type.
Class B
Traditionally rigged vessels under 40 metres in hull length, and square-rigged vessels less than 24 metres in hull length.
Class C
Modern-rigged vessels under 40 metres in hull length, without a spinnaker.
Class D
Modern-rigged vessels under 40 metres in hull length, with a spinnaker.
