Biography
Race participant
The Caravel Vera Cruz was the third built by APORVELA to the original design by Alm shipbuilder Rogerio de Oliveira. She was made to replace the previous vessel, the Boa Esperanca, which had sailed 60,000 miles on the Atlantic and Mediterranean, visiting ports in Northern Europe, Southern Europe, Morocco, the Caribbean and the US during 12 years of service in sail training for APORVELA, allowing hundreds of young and not-so-young trainees to experience life at sea and learn sailing skills.
