From September 9 to 15, the Dutch ship Oosterschelde will call at Bordeaux, and you’re invited aboard! A first chance to discover the world of tall ships ahead of the big rendezvous in 2027.
Discover the three-masted ship on the quays
As autumn begins, Bordeaux’s quays will take on a seafaring atmosphere. The Dutch three-masted ship Oosterschelde will dock at the Ponton d’Honneur. The vessel will arrive on Wednesday, September 9, in the early evening around 7:45 pm, and depart on Tuesday, September 15, in the morning (around 9:30 am).
On Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13, you can come aboard from 10 am to 1:30 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm to explore this iconic ship up close. Its tall masts, deck, and equipment offer a glimpse into life on board and the sailing conditions of a great tall ship.
A preview of the Tall Ships Races 2027
Built in the early 20th century, this historic sailing ship is still in service today. The Oosterschelde’s stopover offers a chance to get acquainted with these impressive vessels and to look ahead to the Tall Ships Races 2027, the international tall ships race.
More than forty sailing ships from around the world will line the quays from July 7 to 11 before the race sets off.
